Thank You for visiting the Newport Township Community Organization's Website  "The Beginning"
May 2004, Newport Township Board of Commissioners met for a regular monthly meeting.  There was a discussion on ways to revitalize our community.  The Board listened to comments and twenty people committed to help in this effort.  The Commissioners set up a public meeting, on May 17, 2004, at the Township Municipal Building in Wanamie, to seek resident input.  As a result of this meeting the Newport Township Community Organization was formed.

This year the Newport Township Community Organization received the 2009 Partnership Award  from The Eastern PA Coalition for Abandoned Mine Reclamation (EPCAMR) 

Thank You to the volunteers and sponsors who participated in the Great American Cleanup of PA

The Township Commissioners Meeting is scheduled for Monday, July 6th, 6:00pm, Municipal Building, Wanamie.

We continue to recycle aluminum products and other metals to include appliances, old grills, bed springs, fencing, lawnmowers, bicycles, radiators, piping, motor blocks, furnaces, etc. Pass the word to your friends and neighbors.

The Newport Township Community Organization is a 501(c)3 Public Charity Organization.
