    •    October 18th or 19th, Adopt A Highway Event

      • Beginning at 8 am

      • Clean up from Fanucci's Hill to Parkway Inn, Alden

     

  •    Fall Festival

    • October 11, 2008 - Holy Child Grove, Sheatown

      • 10am to 4pm

     

  •    The Summer Fun Events, Coordinators Murph Fletcher and Mary Margaret Kashatus.

    Time 10:00 AM until Noon

    • June 25 - Pioneers Players & Dance Team @ Rec Park

    • July 9 - Field Trip to Hillside Farm - Bus will leave the Rec Park at 9AM

    • July 23 - Magic Shoe & Learn Magic @ Holy Child Grove

    • Aug 6 - Build an Indian Tee Pee @ Rec Park

    • Aug 20 - Carnival Games & Characters @ Rec Park 

  •     Cleanup Fix up Events

    • July 19th, Clean up Main road from Fanucci's Hill to the Parkway Inn

    • July 19th, Newport Cemetery, erect tombstones

    • April 19th, Cleanup along the main highways throughout the Township.

    •  8AM to 12PM,  Township Municipal Building, Wanamie

    •  This event is registered with the Great PA Cleanup at http://www.gacofpa.org

     

  •     The Big Junk Drop Off

    •  April 14th, Monday to 18th, Friday

    •  9am to 3pm

    •  Recycling Center, Wanamie

  •    Public Forum, February 19th, 6:30 PM, American Legion, Glen Lyon, speaker Congressman Paul Kanjorski

    •  Congressman Paul Kanjorski discussed issues pertaining to Newport Township, the Greater Nanticoke Area and the entire 11th Congressional District.
