    • Chili Contest

    • No Class Car Show

    • Crafters, Chinese Auction, Ethnic Food, Bake Sale

    • Free Hay Rides, Face Painting, Entertainment, Wyoming Valley Remote Control Flyers, State Trooper Martin Connor

    • Safety information provided by our First Alert Teams: Fire, Police, and Ambulance

  • ADOPT-A-HIGHWAY Cleanup

    • July 25 - 8am Main Road from Glen Lyon to Alden

    • October 17 - 8am Main Road from Glen Lyon to Alden

  •  Summer Fun Events, Coordinators Melissa 736-6083

    All events start at 10am, Wanamie Rec Park.

    If event is away, someone will be at the Park and advise you where to go.

    • June 16  - Creepy Creatures @ Wanamie Rec Park

    • June 30th - Mini Golf  (Wear Yellow) (Road Trip)

    • July 14th - Swimming at GNA High School

    • July 21 - Bowling Trip (Wear Blue)  (Meet at the Park)

    • August 4 - Game Day@ Wanamie Rec Park

    • August 11 - POOL PARTY 10am to 1pm Mocanaqua!! l

The Newport Township Community Organization would like to recognize 5 years of participation to the following Groups and Sponsors:

Waste Reduction, J.P. MascaroThe Variety Stop, Fathers Initiative ProgramPennDOT,  Cub Scout Pack 430, Boy Scout Pack 430, the Piestrak Family, and the Ridgeview Group. 

 

Thank You to the Keystone Landfill for providing free landfill space for all the events, Earth Conservancy for making room in the dumpsters, and the Pennsylvania Environmental Council and Luzerne County Correctional Facility who joined our effort in the clean up of illegal dumpsites.
