- July 9 - Field Trip to Hillside Farm - Bus will leave the Rec Park at 9AM
- July 23 - Magic Shoe & Learn Magic @ Holy Child Grove
- Aug 6 - Build an Indian Tee Pee @ Rec Park
- Aug 20 - Carnival Games & Characters @ Rec Park

Newport Township Community Pride Event, Coordinator Palmira
- April 19th, Cleanup along the main highways throughout the Township.
- 8AM to 12PM, Township Municipal Building, Wanamie
- This event is registered with the Great PA Cleanup at www.greatpacleanup.org
The Big Junk Drop Off
- April 14th, Monday to 18th, Friday
- 9am to 3pm
- Recycling Center, Wanamie

Public Forum, February 19th, 6:30 PM, American Legion, Glen Lyon, speaker Congressman Paul Kanjorski
- Congressman Paul Kanjorski discussed issues pertaining to Newport Township, the Greater Nanticoke Area and the entire 11th Congressional District.

Join us the second and fourth Tuesday of each month.
