The 2nd Vice President, Tom Kashatus reported:

·         At the last commissioners meeting he was taken off code enforcement and put on as the fire commissioner.  Tom had some good recommendations on code enforcement and does not know where they will go.  He is a commissioner for all the people.  Continue to call and report if you see people moving in or out.  John Wilkes is now in charge of code enforcement.

·         Tom read a letter from Murph Fletcher, who was unable to attend.

o        Murph spoke to Jackie Dickman of Earth Conservancy asking permission to plant trees at the new hiking trails for Arbor Day.  She was glad to hear from our organization.  They will supply trees for planting.  We will be responsible for planting and watering until they can survive on their own. .  Letter attached.

o        Stephen P. asked for a committee of four (4) to five (5) members for this project.

o        Penn Dot will place signs on Kirmar Parkway to identify the locations of the trails.

·         Chester Smocharski spoke of an article in today’s Citizens Voice.  If anyone is interested in joining the National Arbor Foundation for a $10.00 membership fee, you will receive ten (10) free trees.  They will be shipped between March 1st and May 31st.  Article attached.

·         Before Tom left the meeting to attend the firemen’s meeting, he gave three (3) examples of problems in the township where the fire department and code enforcement should be working together.
