President, Stephen Phillips called the meeting to order on the above date and time
Secretary, Palmira Miller read the minutes from the previous meeting held January 23, 2007. Murph moved that the minutes be approved as read and placed on file. Joe seconded the motion with all members present voting in the affirmative.

Treasurer, Steve Masakowski read and presented the treasurers report. · The organization has a total of $5,305.34 in the General Fund, $100.00 petty cash, $225.00 in the checking reserve, and $325.00 payables. · The organization has 30 paid 2007 members. Carolyn made a motion to accept the treasurer’s report as presented and placed on file. Mary Margaret seconded the motion with all members present voting in the affirmative.
Bills and Communications Steven M. reports: · Our South Valley Chamber of Commerce membership renewal fee of $50.00 is due. Murph made a motion to renew this membership. Mary Jo seconded the motion with all members present voting in the affirmative. · Steve read a flyer for a bus trip to the Dutch Apple Dinner Theater in Lancaster. If anyone interested may contact Dorothy Hudak by March 5th.
The 1st Vice President, Russ Sager reports on the 501c3 status: · The Internal Revenue Service requested additional information due March 5th. This information will be gathered and sent. Also a request for an extension will be submitted in order for the state to approve the amended articles. Tom and Russ will meet with Attorney Kule tomorrow.
The 2nd Vice President, Tom Kashatus reported and members discussed the following: · The Police Breathalyzer has not been ordered. · Members discussed an Ethanol Plant. Jim has information and will share it with members if needed.
Publicity Chairman, John Jarecki reports: 1. Meeting announcements for this meeting were sent to the Times Leader and the Citizens' Voice. 2. The Spring Newsletter is on schedule. Printing is set for March 5th , and distribution the 19th
Committee Reports: · Joe Maloney announced the following winners for the Christmas decoration contest. 1st Prize of $100.00 to Earl & Eloise Meyers at 11-13 Kirmar Ave., Alden 2nd Prize of $75.00 to Tom Capice at 137 E Main St, Glen Lyon 3rd Prize of $50.00 to John Miller at 38 Orchard St, Glen Lyon · Murph Fletcher & Mary Margaret reported on the upcoming summer fun events scheduled for the Children.
Trustees report · Francis reported that Steve Masakowski is doing a great job.
Old Business · Murph received a high price from off set paperback to print the newsletters. John will recheck prices.
New Business · Steve M. made a motion to donate $100.00 to the Knights of Columbus in appreciation for the use of their facility. Murph questioned the motion to raise that amount. Steve M. amended the motion to donate $200.00. Carolyn seconded the motion with all members present voting in the affirmative. Russ abstained from the vote. · A father and daughter attended the meeting, introduced themselves, and became members.
Mary Margaret made a motion to adjourn the meeting; seconded by Jim, all voted in favor. Meeting adjourned at 7:10 pm.
