Stephen Phillips called the 2nd Annual Meeting to order.  He spoke about our accomplishments throughout the year.  How the organization was active in the Great Pennsylvania Cleanup, the big junk pickups in Alden, Wanamie, Sheatown, and Ridgeview, the attendance at the Commissioners Work sessions and Township Meetings, and how we shall continue with our 5 proposed projects for the township.

 

Treasurer, Steve Masakowski read and presented the 2005 Annual Report.

·         Total income was $4,230.53.

·         Expenses totaled $2,501.79.

·         The organization had 71 paid members in 2005.

A full detailed report is attached. 

The Trustees, Frances and Bob, met with the treasurer, examined the financial records for 2005 and found, to the best of their knowledge, all records and documents to be in proper order.  A signed statement is attached.

 

Stephen Phillips spoke on the following issues:

·         Working towards the 501c3 status which will qualify us for tax exemption.

·         All officers have a three (3) year term.

o    Murphy recommended changing the bi-laws so all board member are not up for re-election at the same time.

·         A three (3) year term for trustee is up for nomination

o    Stephen P made a motion to nominate Joe Maloney as trustee.

o    Tom Kashatus made a motion to nominate Faye Maloney as trustee.

o    Sia Sager made a motion to nominate Tony Molski as trustee.

Francis Zaleskis closed the nominations.  All members voted by secret ballet.  Ballets were counted by Palmira and John Jarecki.  Tony Molski won the nomination to serve a three (3) year term as trustee.  Russ made a motion to destroy the ballots.  Mary Margaret seconded the motion with all members voting in the affirmative.

Old Business

·         Carolyn mentioned having a Veterans Memorial.  The Municipality now owns the lot on the left side of the Municipal Building.  A tank was suggested to be parked, as part of the memorial.

 

Tony made a motion to adjourn the meeting.  Linda seconded the motion with all members voting in the affirmative.

 

Meeting was adjourned at 8:30pm.
