Calls for Month:
Total calls this year 83 **note: some calls are not included in yearly total, typically these are non-response situations such as training**
Training for month:
Off-Road search and rescue drill—simulated ATV accident in remote location.
Training with newly acquired rescue tools, and demo of rescue jacks.
New Driver training using draft operations
Other Activities:
Dry Hydrant at Fairchild’s pond test and works as designed
Hydrant markers installed in Wanamie, Alden and Sheatown
Annual Pump test performed on Engine #2 and Rescue 163
Note: No contractors have called back or shown interest in repairs, or addition to the building.
Some interest has been developed in the sale of Engine 2 B ( 85 FMC ) a company from Western PA wants to take a look at it. Also, a company from Texas, and Oklahoma have expressed interest.
Participated in the Annual Little League opening day parade and ceremonies.
The paperwork problem involving the mini-pumper has been resolved, it should be back in service before the end of the month.
Engine 1 had a new set of rear brakes installed, and the rear tires were rotated to extend their life.
Engine 2 had a tire repair, a bold ˝ by 2 inches was found in the tire.
Rescue 163 had 2 new front tires installed and it was inspected
