We have drafted SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedures) for members to follow at calls, a copy is attached to be kept on file for documentation purposes.

The Mini-pumper is back and in service. The problem with the title and tags has been resolved. It will be used for Vegetation and Nuisance fires and as a general purpose utility vehicle.

Three of our Emergence Service Personnel have been nominated for, “Emergency Service Provider of the Year” they are Jason Poremba, Jason Kowalski, and Tom Gernhart. The each received an award at a dinner sponsored by Geisinger Health Care.

Operation Save A Life will be funded for another year. At a luncheon attended by Dan and Jason Kowalski, Kidde Systems announced they will provide smoke detectors to be given out by participating fire departments. The program is sponsored by Kidde, WNEP, and Vector Security.

WNEP has asked if our department would participate in a television commercial promoting safety. Our department has been involved with this program since it’s inception, this will be our 4th year.
