for visiting the Newport Township Community Organization's Website
"The
Beginning"
 May 2004,
Newport Township Board of Commissioners met for a regular monthly meeting.
There was a discussion on ways to revitalize our community. The Board
listened to comments and twenty people committed to help in this effort.
The Commissioners set up a public meeting, on May 17, 2004, at the Township
Municipal Building in Wanamie, to seek resident input. As a result of this
meeting the Newport Township Community Organization was formed.
Next Summer Fun Event is scheduled for August 20th at the Wanamie Recreation
Park

We continue to recycle aluminum products and other
metals to include appliances, old grills, bed springs, fencing, lawnmowers,
bicycles, radiators, piping, motor blocks, furnaces, etc. Pass the word to your
friends and neighbors.
Our next Community Organization Meeting is scheduled
for Tuesday, August 12th, at 6:30pm, Knights of Columbus Hall, Glen Lyon.
The
